3 year hegemony of PSP KK Pilsen broken
It lasted 3 years! The last race won by non-PSP KK Pilsen club member
was held on 23.6.2001. We were waiting three years for the new winner
and this week it came. The Czech sprint Championships (700m track)event
resulted into a tremendous final finnish line battle between Ladislav
Provod(Pilsen) and Jan Vlášek(Ultima). Jan was finally able to break
Ladi´s resistance and took his first league victory in the windy
Saturday afternoon. Karel Cvalín was third(+0,6s) ahead of Michal
Spinka (R plus Penco).
The women Czech Champion title is in hands of Lucie Gazárková (Ultima)
who was able to beat Markéta Stejrova (PSP KK Pilsen) and Anezka
Zykova (Ultima) after a hard final battle.
The Sunday water falling from the sky brought power back to the
hands of Pilsen riders who took first four places. Provod won the
10km mass start race after a pretty fast ride ahead of a new man
in the league pole, Vondrazka, Petr Pesta was third. In the women
field, however, Ultima won again. Anezka Zykova took her 3rd seazon
victory. Her team mate Lucie Gazarkova was second (+5s) and Alena
Kupilikova (Pilsen) 3rd. It was an exciting weekend in Prague. Now
we all are heading to the 1st WC Scootering, nowaday less then 2
weeks remains.
